07 Dodge Sprinter 2500 144 wheelbase 220k Mobil 1 oil changed religiously before recommended 10k. -Newly redone custom interior -Ramblewood propane one burner stovetop-700w Tripp Lite inverter -Boat switch to have solar charge solar system or van battery or both-Fan- Tastic 12v ceiling fan-60w 12v stick down solar panel-Two 6v Lead Acid Duracell batteries run in series-SunDanzer DCF50, 50 Liter/1.8 cubic feet battery-powered refrigerator, 12 or 24 volts DC. I have used this for 5 years straight on same batteries with no issues. -BF Goodrich Rugged Terrain tires with some more life to go-JVC Bluetooth/USB/AUX radio with 8” JL Audio subwoofer and Alpine Amplifier. Sounds incredible. -30LB propane tank mounted underneath van. -Rechargeable USB water pump/faucet attached to 5 gal water jug for dishes etc. -Insulated and carpeted ceiling. Partially insulated walls -Uhaul toe hitch I bought this van 6 years ago from a Mercedes dealership in NH. It was extremely clean and maintained. Since then I had outfitted it into a home I have been in for the last 5 years in Terlingua TX right next to Big Bend National Park. I’ve used the van as home base while I built 2 off grid earth homes here in TX. It has proven to be a worthy vessel for all of my limited needs. I have driven only 60k miles since I’ve owned it. I am never in a hurry and usually don’t go much over 55-65 mph which helps maintain 21 mpg. I never strain the transmission going up and down mountain passes by going slow and listening to when it wants to shift which it does very nicely. I also don’t break hard which has lead to a little break noise from a glaze that has built up on pads. I recently had them checked and was told that they only mad noise because I don’t break aggressively and that there is at least 50% more life to them (I changed them 50k ago). Since I’ve had this van I have done the following:Replaced EGR Valve 60k agoReplaced Glow Plugs 5k agoReplaced shocks and struts 60k agoReplaced ball joints 50k agoReplaced intake manifold 5k ago5k until next oil change Flaws:Paint isn’t perfect. Some little dents and nicks in paint. Dent in drivers side door seen in pictures does not effect functionality of door at all. Minor surface rust has been treated and touched up. Small checks in windshield but no cracks. Doesn’t impact visibility. Crack in drivers seat, not a tear. One indicator light is on the dash which is for the automatic tire pressure sensor. It’s been on the entire time I’ve owned van and I see no issue with keeping an eye on my own tire pressure. This van runs like a dream with no fault codes and much of the expensive mechanical issues already addressed. The only reason I’m selling is because I am going to be taking on a new project that requires a truck to pull machinery. This is a very classy conversion that is no where near the outrageous prices of other comparable vans. There is still plenty room to add your own touches to your new vessel. I am willing to show the van in Terlingua TX right next to Big Bend National Park. You can come stay in the van or in one of my houses depending on availability. I can drive you around and explain the functionality of everything. I will not let potential buyers take the van on their own. This is an incredible place to visit and most likely will not be the last National Park you visit in this van. I will accept cash only, no exceptions. I may travel to Austin and stay at friends place if I have enough interested buyers but would prefer to show van here in Terlingua. .
